China, most powerful nation on earth, then a decline backwards [maybe]

When you look at a nation you have to look at four aspects. If the nation is growing in these aspects, it will grow in strength and prosperity. if it does not, it will decline. These are SPIRITUALITY, MORALITY, COMMUNITY HARMONY AND SECULAR EXCELLENCE.

So lets look at China.

At one time [1450] China was the greatest power on earth with a nation of inventors and highly disciplined, united people. But then the emperors decided to keep to themselves. They put a ‘bamboo curtain’ around their civilization. They told the british who wanted to give them the latest hi tech watches, that they had no need of them. They were self sufficient. The emperors kept technology for emperors, not for the common people, so technology that was far in advance began to lag behind.

While technology was remaining static in China, it was going ahead in leaps and bounds in britain. There was the invention of steel making, of making machines, pumps, motors, electricity, eventually trains, planes and cars.. even rockets for space [rockets invented long ago in China, gunpowder as well].

When marx was adopted in China, unfortunately it was a philosophy that is very good at revolution but very bad at nation building. Thus Mao defeated the emperor but failed to build the nation and the nation remained in poverty. .. and lagged behind in technology as well.

But in the 1980’s china decided to break up the bamboo curtain, adopt western methods and engage with the west in trade and technology etc. ….. but not democracy.

Thus the SECULAR EXCELLENCE  WAS lagging, but since then China has been catching up. On this basis, China has grown economically in leaps and bounds because the factor imprisoning them in poverty was removed.

The Chinese people have been given freedom to engage in business, as long as they do not attempt to change the politics. Christians have a degree of freedom but only up to a point. if a christian leader is getting too popular his church will be destroyed or even imprisoned under any excuse. This is because a Christian revolution once shook China but it failed to bring order and prosperity, so the present government is aware that Christians or any religion have got the potential to raise up an alternative government, leading t revolution, something the present government will not allow.

MORALITY  is sliding. There are apparently over 1 million prostitutes in China. I will find the source of this an post it in this paragraph. Corruption is a serious problem. Where there is absolute power, PLUS a secular governing philosophy, a moral decline is inevitable and predictable. So if a chinese official wants to build a city, he only has to tell the people in a village to  move into state apartments. if they protest they are beaten and arrested, even though they have been there for hundreds of years. This leads to corruption. property developers pay the official and they build a housing complex or clubs or offices and charge high rents. Former red chinese factories are closed down, the machinery sold at give away prices. These machines may be used in other businesses giving huge profits.

When poor people see the super rich associating with the powerful, they get angry, remembering they were removed forcibly from their ancestral home. This has led to thousands of people protests that have to be forcibly suppressed.

COMMUNITY HARMONY is declining on one hand and growing on the other. A middle class is emerging and it has access to technology, luxuries, and sees china fast developing. This gives them a sense of sdestiny so they support government even though thre is very limited democracy
